The Wisconsin Hop Exchange is proud to announce that Wisconsin Hop Exchange Grower Members Jodi and Brian Clarson (and children) are featured in an article titled “HOPPING TO IT” published by Richland Electric Cooperative’s – Wisconsin Energy Cooperative [Local Pages] News in October, 2012.
Here is one of many great pull-outs:
WHEx [Wisconsin Hop Exchange] has two processing facilities in Wisconsin—in Stevens Point and Waterloo, where the Clarsons take their hops. They believe that the WHE is the most user-friendly co-op because others make the growers responsible for much of the hops processing at home. With the WHE, the grower harvests the whole plant and takes it to the co-op to be dried. This way there is less investment and less chance of costly mistakes, making it easier on the growers.
